Cortland County hereby gives public notice that it is the policy of Cortland County to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities.


Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes and regulations, as amended, require that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, gender, or national origin be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which Cortland County receives Federal financial assistance.
 
Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a complaint with the Cortland County Title VI Coordinator within (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence. Title VI Discrimination Complaint Forms may be obtained from this office at no cost to the complainant or by calling 607-753-5043.
